About Lunar Almanac

Lunar Almanac is the English section of testmbti.net, which started as a Korean personality-test site. This English section brings the same idea to the Chinese zodiac, numerology and the Enneagram: quick, free tools with clear explanations, built for people who enjoy them as culture, conversation and self-reflection.

How the numerology and Enneagram tools work

The numerology calculator adds every digit of your birth date and keeps the master numbers 11, 22 and 33, showing each step. The Enneagram test uses 54 statements written for this site (six per type); your type is the highest of the nine scores and your wing is the higher-scoring neighbor. Neither is a scientific or psychological assessment.

How we get the dates right

Zodiac years start at Lunar New Year, which moves every year. Instead of rough rules, we compute the Lunar New Year and the Li Chun solar term for every year from 1901 to 2099 using the open-source lunar-javascript calendar library (MIT license), and we check sample years against published calendars.

What the readings are

Personality and forecast texts describe traditional Chinese astrology: the animals, the five elements and the classic relationships between signs. They are written for entertainment and cultural interest. They are not predictions and not advice about health, money or relationships.
